Kabashi, Al-Helu agree to deliver aid to government and SPLM seized areas immediately

Juba, (SUNA)Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Shams-Eddin Kabashi, met on Saturday in Juba, with the Head of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM-North) General Abdul-Aziz al-Hilu.

The meeting touched on the Sudanese crisis. and the two leaders exchanged visions on solutions to the humanitarian file, the delivery of aid and the political solution.

The two sides agreed to facilitate the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid in areas under government control and in areas under the movement’s control, each side within its areas of control.

They also agreed to hold a meeting within a week by a delegation from the Government of Sudan and a delegation from the SPLM-North to sign a document on humanitarian operations in the two regions.

Tut Qalwak, advisor to President Salva Kiir for security affairs, stated that the head of the SPLM-North , Abdul Aziz al-Hilu, affirmed his readiness to receive any popular delegations to talk about solutions to the crisis in Sudan as a whole.

He said that the meeting discussed ways to resolve the crisis in Sudan and the humanitarian file, and it was agreed on the immediate delivery of humanitarian aid in areas controlled by the government and in areas controlled by the SPLM-Notth in the two regions, provided that a delegation will meet within a week to approve a document specifying how to deliver aid.
