Sudanese Foreign Ministry: We have 4 conditions to stop fighting in Ramadan with rapid support

The Sudanese Foreign Ministry announced “4 conditions for a ceasefire during the month of Ramadan, including the exit of the Rapid Support Forces from citizens’ homes, public facilities and civilian objects.”
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry also stressed “the need for rapid support to withdraw from the states of Gezira and Sennar and all the cities that I attacked after the signing of the Declaration of Humanitarian Principles on May 11, 2023, such as Nyala, El Geneina, Zalingei and Al-Daein, and then gather their forces in an agreed place.”
it expressed that the Government of Sudan welcomes Guterres’ appeal to stop fighting in Ramadan, provided that the conditions for the militia to implement its obligations through the Jeddah platform are met by the exit of its members from citizens’ homes, public facilities and civilian objects, and the withdrawal of the militia from the states of Al-Jazeera and Sennar and all the cities it attacked after signing the Declaration of Humanitarian Principles on May 11, 2023, such as Nyala, El Geneina, Zalingei and Al-Daein, and then assembling its forces in an agreed place.

Stop the atrocities and violations of international humanitarian law and human rights law committed by the militia in the various states it attacked, including the states of Darfur, Al-Jazira, Sennar and White Nile. South Kordofan and West Kordofan.
Finally, public and private looting must be returned and the perpetrators of the destruction of public facilities and citizens’ property must be held accountable.
On Friday, the UN Security Council adopted a resolution calling for a ceasefire in Sudan within Ramadan.
The resolution calls on all parties to ensure the removal of any impediments and the full and speedy, safe and unhindered access of humanitarian assistance, including across borders and across the lines of contact, and to comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law.
During a Security Council meeting on Sudan last Thursday, UN Secretary-General António Guterres appealed to all actors involved in the conflict for a ceasefire during the month of Ramadan.

“The cessation of hostilities must permanently silence weapons across the country and chart a firm path towards lasting peace for the Sudanese people,” Guterres said, warning of the humanitarian crisis of “enormous proportions” and looming famine.
Since April 15, violent and large-scale clashes have continued between the Sudanese army forces and the Rapid Support Forces in different areas of Sudan, as both sides are trying to control vital headquarters, including the Republican Palace, the headquarters of the General Command of the Armed Forces, the Rapid Support Forces Command and a number of military and civilian airports.
