Al-Burhan visits military garrisons in eastern Sudan, stressing the continuation of the fight against the rapid support until the end

The head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, carried out an inspection tour of a number of military garrisons in eastern Sudan on Tuesday, stressing the continuation of the fight against the RSF until the end, with “unprecedented popular support.” Videos released by the Sudanese army showed Burhan in the middle of military and popular crowds in the new cities of Kassala and Halfa, while the RSF was described as a rebel force that must be defeated.
Addressing the forces of the army’s 44th Brigade in the new city of Halfa, he said, “We are continuing our battle to defeat this rebellion with unprecedented popular support.” “Our fight continues until we clean the country of rapid support.” Burhan continued: “The Sudanese people and the army are together in one trench until this rebellion is defeated.”

From New Halfa, Burhan went to Kassala where he visited the Eastern Military Region. According to the Sudanese Sovereign Council, the citizens of New Halfa and Khashm al-Korba in Kassala state went out to receive the head of the Sovereignty Council.
The country is witnessing extensive recruitment on both sides of the fighting, with the army joining Islamists, Resistance Committees, and popular groups despite their wide political divergence, while the RSF attracted a range of tribal leaders and tribal groups.
