Military intelligence prevents political leaders from entering the country

The Forces of Freedom and Change said in a press statement seen by Al-Yurae that “a force affiliated with military intelligence led by Major Mohamed Nasreddin Tambour prevented on Sunday, November 5, 2023, the political secretary of the Sudan Liberation Movement and Army, the Transitional Council and a member of the Executive Office of the Forces of Freedom and Change, Muhammad Kas, from entering Sudanese territory and issued directives to prevent him from entering Sudan.”

The statement added that this measure comes within a continuous series targeting the leaders of the forces of freedom and change when they leave the country after the outbreak of war and put their names on the lists of travel bans, or the arrest of those who chose to return home, “referring to what happened recently to a member of the Executive Office of the Movement of New Democratic Forces (Haq), Mr. Khaled Bahar, at the Arqin crossing upon his return to Sudan, where he was arrested, violated the privacy of his mobile phone, and subjected to investigation and detention.

The forces of freedom and change denounced in the press statement what happened, adding, “The measures of restricting the leaders of the forces of freedom and change, activists, actors and citizens in general without any legal justification is tantamount to political targeting in which the elements of the annihilated regime and its dissolved party and its militias are involved by implicating the regular agencies in this illegal criminal behavior.”

A campaign in social media accused the forces of freedom and change involvement in the ongoing conflict and bias to the militias of the rapid support, which is been denied several times just as hinted by many military leaders to the involvement of political parties as well without naming them and the forces of freedom and change accused affiliates and leaders of the former regime of orchestrating the ongoing conflict.
