Al-Yurae- (local papers) The Oil Workers Association said that a rapid support force stormed Bapco’s fourth pumping station PS 4 in the Al-Ilfoon area, which is working to export southern oil through the port of Bashaer 2.
The group said in a press circular on Sunday that the force stopped work at the station, forced workers to evacuate it and arrested two of them, before releasing one of them later after paying a ransom while the second worker is still detained inside the station.
The station, which was controlled by the Rapid Support Forces, is the fourth of its kind in Sudan.
Condemnation for targeting safe zones
The Democratic Front of Lawyers condemned the expansion of the war through rapid support by targeting safe areas in Alifoun and North Omdurman.
In its statement, accused the RSF of expanding the war in safe areas despite showing a false desire to stop the war.
It condemned the targeting of the Al-Ilfoon area in eastern Khartoum with heavy weapons as part of its violent clashes with the army, which forced the people of the area and hundreds of displaced people to flee after the attack on the area with the aim of seizing the main oil pumping station that pumped oil to Sudan and South Sudan.
The Democratic Front quoted eyewitnesses that the Rapid Support invaded the city of Al-Alifon and looted the property of citizens and subjected them to cruel and inhumane treatment after the withdrawal of the army, forcing them to flee to the areas of Um Dawa Ban, Dabaiba, Abu Saleh and the state of Al-Jazira.
In its statement, the Front pointed to the continuation during the past days of several areas in northern Omdurman, which is one of the few safe areas in Khartoum state, which received most of the displaced people of old Omdurman.
