Kassala declaration of state of emergency Extended

The Governor of Kassala in charge, Mr. Khojaly Hamad Abdullah, issued a decision to extend the declaration of the state of emergency in the state on all its known geographical borders for a period of two months, provided that the emergency orders issued under the Governor’s Decree No. (34) of 2023 and under Resolution No. (34) remain in force until the expiry of the decision.

The decision was issued based on the approval of the Sovereign Council to delegate its powers in declaring a state of emergency under Article (40/1) of the Constitutional Document of 2019 and Article (4/1) of the Emergency Law and Protection of Public Safety of 1997.
