King Charles II visits the Sudanese Community in London

His Majesty King Charles II visited yesterday members of the Sudanese community in London at an event to mark 20 years since the start of the Darfur conflict.

The Palace statement published on the British Embassy in Khartoum social media account said “The visit came in response to an invitation extended to His Majesty by one of the survivors of the conflict”.

His Majesty The King listened to the testimonies of survivors and learned about the lives of the Sudanese community in the UK.

The statement went to say: that the”UK continues steadfastly to support a political process which can bring peace and stability for the people of Darfur. Meanwhile, we remain committed to helping Darfuris directly through the provision of humanitarian aid, as well as by funding peacebuilding and transitional justice
