Governor of Blue Nile: The region is an integral part of Sudan

Al-Damazin – (SUNA) Lieutenant General Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, Governor of the Blue Nile Region, stressed that the problem of the Blue Nile is an integral part of the problems of Sudan and that what the region has recently experienced is a stumbling block that the people of the region have overcome.

This came when he chaired today at the Legislative Council Hall in Damazin the joint meeting of the Council of Ministers, banking sectors, farmers and shepherds in preparation for the visit of General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sovereign Council of the region to participate in the conclusion of the activities of the annual shooting festival (57) of the armed forces.

He called on all components of society to participate in receiving the President of the Sovereignty Council and to reflect the bright, real and civilized face of the people of the region, and to raise slogans to correct misconceptions about the people of the region and confirm their acceptance of the other, pointing out that the region can accommodate everyone without exception.

The Governor added that one of the files that will be presented is infrastructure, giving priority to the program of the return of refugees and displaced persons and their stability in their areas, noting the importance of moving forward with the implementation of the Juba Agreement, which is a gain for the region.

The Governor expressed regret for the disbursement of funds allocated for development to face the security repercussions, protect citizens and promote peace in the region, reviewing the objectives of forming the Supreme Committee to receive the President of the Sovereign Council while expanding the circle of participation and providing community support in addition to official support, calling for intensifying work in cleaning the cities of Damazin and Roseiris
Maulana Abbas Kara, Minister of Finance in the region and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the reception of the Chairman of the Sovereign Council, said that the arrangements for the visit are proceeding as planned, adding that the visit will be a turning point for reconciliations between all components of society and an opportunity to restore the region to its past to strengthen, achieve and consolidate the pillars of peaceful coexistence, reviewing the files that will be raised in the visit, in addition to calling on the armed movements to return to the homeland again and calling for the reception slogans to carry the lofty meanings and distinguished qualities enjoyed by the people of the region in tolerance. Renounce war, build and strengthen peace, unite ranks, face challenges and move towards development, believing in the role of sectors of society in supporting the visit program
Abbas Kara referred to the decision of the President of the Sovereignty Council to integrate the security apparatus of the Popular Movement into the intelligence service in the framework of implementing the terms of the Juba Agreement, stressing that this is good news that enhances confidence between the parties and contributes to supporting the process of peace and stability, indicating that efforts are moving towards implementing the deduction of the (40%) of the national income for the development of the region.
Mirghani Makki Mirghani, Secretary-General of the Regional Government, addressed the stable conditions in the region and the efforts exerted to cross it towards reconstruction and development, reviewing the Governor’s decision to form the Supreme Committee to receive the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, headed by the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Agriculture as alternate chairman, and the Secretary of the Government as rapporteur and other membership, specifying the objectives of the formation of the committee, noting that its first meeting will be held tomorrow morning, Thursday, at the headquarters of the Secretariat.
