Mitsubishi Expresses Desire to Invest in Sudan

Khartoum- (SUNA) – The Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Jadain Ali Obeid, received Monday a delegation of the consultants of Nippon Q Company, affiliated to Mitsubishi Company.

At the meeting, the minister was briefed on the company’s activities in the fields of energy, hydraulic generation and the renewable energies.

The delegation also gave a briefing on Mitsubishi projects around the world.

The company announced that it started conducting survey studies on horizons of investment in Sudan at the electricity power sector.

The minister welcomed the Japanese consultants, appreciating the efforts of Japan in supporting Sudan.

The Director of the General Investment Administration at the Holding Sudan Electricity Company, Engineer Khalid Mohamed Al-Tayeb, has reviewed at the meeting the situation of electricity generation in Sudan.
