Mohamed Al-Faki: The Coup Forces Aim to Crush Civilian Powers and Turn Back the Clock

Published:

Mohamed Al-Faki Suleiman, former member of the Sovereign Council and a leader in the “Samood” (Resilience) Movement, affirmed that their efforts had been focused on preventing the outbreak of war, in the face of forces that had long been preparing for this conflict—forces that heralded death and worked to mobilize their supporters. He explained that these forces were not only seeking to ignite the conflict, but also aimed to achieve political gains at the expense of stability and security.

Suleiman pointed out that some of these forces have set their sights on returning to power, seeking to crush the civilian forces and to permanently close the chapter of December and all the hopes and aspirations it carried. He considered that these objectives reflect a desire to turn back the clock, threatening the achievements of the revolution and undermining efforts to build a democratic civilian state.

In his remarks, Suleiman described the war as not a war of “legitimacy, state, and dignity” as some claim, but in reality, a war of “illegitimate coup plotters” against a political group that was removed by the revolution. He stressed that their efforts will not cease, in all international and local forums, to stop this war, despite the rising voices of treachery that feed on more death and destruction
