Minawi: The Militia Targeted Zamzam Camp at the Time Aid Was Supposed to Arrive

El Fasher – (SUNA) – The Governor of Darfur Region and Chairman of the Sudan Liberation Army Movement, Minni Arko Minawi, revealed that an agreement had been reached last week between the regional government and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), with the initiative and coordination of a friendly country, to dispatch a humanitarian convoy to Zamzam Camp on April 13. A similar agreement was also made with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

In a post on his Facebook page, Minawi indicated that the RSF targeted the camp at the very time when the aid was supposed to arrive. He added that this matter requires condemnation and clarification from OCHA, affirming their commitment to the agreement and reiterating their respect for international and humanitarian law.
