Kenyan Arms Seized in Khartoum and Ousted Kenyan Deputy President Describes Ruto as the De Facto Leader of the Rapid Support Forces

Published:

A Sudanese military officer revealed that the Sudanese army has seized Kenyan-made ammunition and military equipment used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in recent battles in Khartoum. The officer, who remained unnamed, stated that the ammunition was used for both heavy and light weapons. The RSF had used civilian homes and buildings in the neighborhoods of Al-Tayf and Arkweit as ammunition storage facilities.

The officer disclosed that the ammunition was found in eastern and central Khartoum, with some of it being used in ongoing fighting in the city. After being ambushed in central Khartoum, the RSF burned a portion of the ammunition to prevent it from falling into the army’s hands, leading to fires that spread to civilian homes.

Meanwhile, a military source for Al Jazeera revealed the existence of a missile assembly site in the Manshiya neighborhood of eastern Khartoum. The source indicated that this site, used by the RSF for assembling missiles and drones, belongs to a foreign company. This discovery serves as strong evidence of Kenya’s alleged military and political role in supporting the RSF militia, reinforcing accusations that the Kenyan government may be involved in bolstering the militia’s power in Sudan.

The source added that this discovery comes at a critical time, with Sudanese military intelligence currently documenting all details related to these weapons. They promised to reveal all the details to both local and international public opinion as soon as possible.

This discovery intensifies the seriousness of the allegations against Kenyan President William Ruto, placing Kenya in a difficult diplomatic position. The Kenyan government will need to provide explanations for this controversial relationship.

The Secrets of William Ruto’s Support for the Rapid Support Forces

In a significant development in Kenyan politics, former Kenyan Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua made strong statements that sparked controversy over President Ruto’s involvement in supporting the Sudanese Rapid Support Forces.

This diplomatic escalation reflects significant tensions in the relations between Kenya and Sudan, as Gachagua accused President Ruto of acting as the “de facto leader” of the Rapid Support Forces, a key player in the ongoing Sudanese conflict.

Gachagua considered that President Ruto was aware of all the military activities of the Rapid Support Forces and possibly managed operations that included providing logistical and financial support. This reflects unprecedented political collusion in the history of relations between the two countries.

Gachagua emphasized that these activities go beyond diplomatic statements to actual intervention in the Sudanese conflict. He also noted that Ruto might have exploited this relationship to enhance Kenya’s interests in the region, a stance that contradicts Kenya’s usual policy of neutrality in Sudanese affairs.

Gachagua’s statements fuel the crisis, adding that President Ruto is the “de facto leader” of the Rapid Support Forces, confirming that these forces receive logistical and organizational support from the Kenyan government.

Gachagua mentioned that Ruto might have considered strengthening the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan as a strategic move to achieve greater influence in the region, especially amidst the accelerating events in Khartoum.

These accusations come at a sensitive time, as the Sudanese government had previously criticized Kenya for its biased stance in favor of the Rapid Support Forces. Khartoum had decided to recall its ambassador to Kenya in protest over Nairobi hosting a conference for the Rapid Support Forces to announce a parallel government.
