Money transfer service via SMS (without internet) by the end of next April

PORT SUDAN (SUNA) – Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, said that telecommunications companies have promised to provide money transfer services via SMS (without internet) by the end of next April, confirming that one company is ready now.

During the 17th informative conference of the Ministry of Culture and Information organized by Sudan News Agency this evening at Damman Tower in Port Sudan, he explained that the digital transformation process is ongoing and that the state is moving towards e-government.

Dr. Jibril said: “We started with the government sector and the process will be gradual despite the difficulties. We have made progress and we will reach quick results.”
