Cairo – Several areas in Egypt’s Giza province on Saturday night saw hundreds of Sudanese gather to celebrate the Sudanese army’s ability to consolidate its control over central Khartoum sites, across the White Nile Bridge, and the liberation of the Al-Jelly refinery.

Revelers gathered in the areas of Faisal and Ard al-Lewa in Giza province, distributing sweets and chanting songs and slogans in support of the Sudanese army.

The marches and celebrations continued until the early hours of this morning.

The number of Sudanese in Egypt is estimated at about 5 million citizens after the outbreak of war in their country, according to Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty.

Sudan has been witnessing clashes between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces since mid-April 2022.
