UK appoints new ambassador and special representative to Sudan

London – The British government announced the appointment of Richard Crowder as head of the British office in Sudan and Special Representative of the United Kingdom in Sudan, succeeding Ambassador Giles Lever Richard Crowder previously worked as Deputy Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in London and Deputy High Commissioner in Islamabad and worked at the Foreign Office from 1996 to 1997 as an officer in charge of the Great Lakes region in Africa.
