Foreign Minister: Chadian support for the terrorist militia is clearer than the sun at midday

Published:

Port Sudan, (SUNA) – Commenting on the Chadian Foreign Minister’s statement to Al-Jazeera Mubasher Channel two days ago, in which he denied that his country supports the terrorist Rapid Support Militia and during which he asked for evidence to be provided to confirm that, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali, said, “This statement, which I heard while I was outside the country did not represent the brotherly Chadian people, whose position contradicts their government’s involvement in the war of aggression against Sudan and its people. A number of Chadian political, social and religious leaders have condemned the disgraceful role of the Chadian government on behalf of regional and international powers that covet Africa’s resources by opening up its lands, its airports for supplying weapons to the terrorist militia, and allowing the entry of property looted from Sudanese citizens and trading in it openly.

The Chadian minister’s attempt to deny a glaring fact known to the whole world is futile. Chadian support for the terrorist militia is clearer than the sun at midday. It includes allocating the airports of Umm Jars and Abéché to receive flights transporting weapons and military equipment for the terrorist militia from the UAE. These flights have so far amounted to more than 400 flights, monitored by specialized national and international agencies, with details of the transporting aircraft, the routes they took, and the dates of their arrival and unloading, supported by satellite photographs. This was also reported by international media and research centers in a number of Western countries.

The group of independent experts assigned by the Security Council to follow up on Resolution 1591 also documented this in its latest report to the Council. The team explained the ways in which these weapons and equipment reach the militia from Chad.

The Sudanese Armed Forces dealt with some convoys transporting weapons from Chad after they entered Sudanese territory. In recent days, the concerned authorities monitored the arrival of military vehicles to Chad through the Cameroonian port of Douala, and their final destination is the terrorist militia via Chadian territory. Chad also arranged and coordinated the participation of Chadian mercenaries and from countries from which Sudan can only be reached via Chad. A large number of these Chadian mercenaries, or those who entered Sudan via Chad died while fighting alongside the terrorist rebel militia in different regions of the country, in addition to those who are currently in the grip of the relevant Sudanese authorities.

International media and UN officials also documented this. Indeed, the rebel militia itself contributed to this by broadcasting videos of the funerals of some of these dead mercenaries from Chad and other neighboring countries.   Chad also remained the headquarters of the militia leaders, where meetings and gatherings were held, recruitment operations, buying loyalty, and receiving money were carried out, in addition to treating injured members of the terrorist militia in its hospitals, or arranging for them to travel outside the region for treatment.   In fact, some of what was stated in the Chadian minister’s own speech confirms his country’s interference in the internal affairs of Sudan. He mentioned that they still consider Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo as Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, even though he was removed from that position after rebelling against the state and directing his weapons at defenseless citizens. The aforementioned Chadian official’s speech, in addition to being a blatant interference in the affairs of Sudan and in matters that do not concern him and a departure from good international norms, is a disdain for the victims of the genocide committed by the rebel militia in El-Geneina, a few miles from the border with Chad, and the rest of its heinous crimes throughout the country. .   It is unfortunate that the current Chadian government has made itself dependent on external forces that have previously caused destruction, killing, and instability in many countries in the region, for the narrow self-interests of some Chadian officials, in denial of the strong historical and social relations between the two brotherly peoples, and the principles of good neighborliness, the Charter of the United Nations, and international law. And a reversal against the legacy of the late President Idriss Deby, who was characterized by wisdom and concern for good neighborly relations, and was not able to be bought from external powers, because he knew that those powers would betray him after they used him for their purposes, and that they would not help him in the face of any internal or regional isolation that he caused by his engagement with the anti-regional agenda, running after political money.

It is sad that the Chadian Foreign Minister chooses to defend falsehood and falsify facts. I do not want him to be a trumpet for repeating nonsense and falsehoods that have no basis.

Acting Minister Foreign of Af8 concluded his statement by calling on the government of Chad to return to its senses and stop fueling the war and the horrific violations committed by the terrorist militia against the Sudanese people, for the sake of the interest of its people firstly, and regional stability secondly, because the hostility of the Sudanese people and helping to contaminate their blood, honor and property has a very high cost. Whoever sets fire to Sudan will not be immune from it.”
