Accusations of the RSF have committed 3 massacres within two days

Sudanese popular and medical organizations accused the Rapid Support Forces of committing 3 massacres in two days,

These attacks, which occurred in Gezira, North Darfur, and South Kordofan states, resulted in 68 fatalities and left hundreds injured, alongside widespread looting and property damage.

The Pre-Commission of the Doctors’ Syndicate reported that an RSF assault on Um Adam village in Gezira state’s Hassahisa locality led to 28 deaths and 240 injuries. The RSF is said to have besieged the village before launching a heavy assault with both light and heavy weaponry, causing significant casualties among the residents. The committee highlighted the challenges in tallying the full extent of the casualties, citing restricted access to medical facilities, ongoing gunfire, communication blackouts, and the ensuing chaos and displacement of villagers.

An urgent plea was issued to the global community and human rights organizations to step in immediately to halt these transgressions and to seek accountability for those behind the massacres.

In a separate account, local resistance committees in Hassahisa city accused the RSF of killing over 20 individuals and injuring 200 more in a sustained assault that began on Saturday. This force, comprising 200 gunmen with 4 combat vehicles and 60 motorcycles, allegedly encircled the village with the intent to plunder, leading to confrontations with villagers and indiscriminate gunfire from the attackers, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries.

In the Darfur region, the Justice and Equality Movement, headed by Jibril Ibrahim, charged the RSF with the killing of 20 people and the wounding of many, predominantly herders, in villages to the west of El Fasher, North Darfur’s capital. The RSF allegedly raided the Durma area and eastern rural Korma, engaging in looting and destruction as part of a campaign for demographic change.

The movement called upon the United Nations and international community to compel the RSF to adhere to international human rights laws and treaties and to hold them accountable for ongoing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the areas they control or enter.

The International Organization for Migration’s “Displacement Tracking Matrix” indicated that approximately 763 families were forced to flee from the villages of Sarfaya Derma and Janjona Breve El Fasher to various locations within El Fasher locality, following an assault by an unidentified armed group that resulted in the torching of 72 houses.

Furthermore, the Kordofan People’s Commission for the Support of the Homeland reported that the RSF committed a massacre against civilians in the Abbasiya locality of South Kordofan state on Sunday. According to the commission, the RSF’s second attack during Ramadan in the Qardnama area, targeting the villages of Al-Labban, Al-Salamat, and Daqqaq Forma, left 20 dead and dozens injured.

The RSF is accused of terrorizing citizens through attacks on villages and towns using combat vehicles and motorcycles, looting personal property, agricultural equipment, livestock, crops, and market goods, and setting ablaze numerous homes.

The commission urged citizens to join the resistance, called for the army to arm the populace and intervene to drive out the “rebel militia” from Kordofan, and appealed to international bodies to denounce the RSF and hold them responsible for their actions.
