The head of the Sudan Liberation Army (SLA) and governor of the Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, said that “30% of the Rapid Support Forces are from the well-known Chadian opposition,” calling on Sudan’s neighboring countries to work for the stability of Sudan.
The news agency quoted “Arab World“quoted Minawi, a speech delivered in farewell to the forces of the “Sudan Liberation Army” heading towards the state of Gedarif, in which he went to the neighboring countries of Sudan from Eritrea, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Central Africa, Libya, Egypt and Chad, saying: “We seek stability and do not want harm to anyone and our stability comes from the stability of neighbors.”
Minawi called on the international community to respect Sudan’s values, stressing that “the international community should not impose its will on us regarding who governs, and give us an opportunity for dialogue and respect for our values.”
It is noteworthy that Minawi had announced last Sunday that the forces of the “Sudan Liberation Army” to Khartoum state, to participate in the fighting alongside the Sudanese army, which has been fighting against the Rapid Support Forces, since mid-April.
Earlier, the director general of Sudan’s General Intelligence Service, General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, vowed that “the next few days will witness the earthquake of the staff of the Rapid Support Forces.”
The site “Sudani” quoted Mufaddal, saying that “the next few days will witness the earthquake of the terrorist Rapid Support militia and its brutal rebellion,” stressing “the completion of all arrangements and preparations for the liberation of the city of Wad Madani from the filth of rebellion,” he said.
Mufaddal’s remarks came during a speech he delivered to the “Lions of the Lair Mobile”, which is run by the Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime Authority of the Sudanese General Intelligence Service, from the Jabal Sarkab military base in Omdurman.
Since April 15, violent and large-scale clashes have continued between the Sudanese army forces and the Rapid Support Forces in different areas in Sudan, where both sides are trying to control vital headquarters, including the Republican Palace, the headquarters of the General Command of the Armed Forces, the Rapid Support Forces Command and a number of military and civilian airports.
