Al-Yurae- (local papers and News Agencies)-The Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Army arrived on Tuesday evening to the Wadi Sedna military area north of the capital Khartoum on a surprise visit coming to it from his residence in Port Sudan, the capital of the Red Sea State in the far east of the country.
Al-Burhan said in a speech to officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the Wadi Sedna military base: “We went to the Jeddah according to what was previously agreed upon for the exit of the rebellion from civilian neighborhoods, government and service facilities and streets.”
“If the rebellion refuses peace or pursues peaceful solutions, there is no solution but military resolution,” he said.
Burhan assured the armed forces constantly that this “the battle of dignity” in the face of the Rapid Support Forces and stressed that they are not afraid of the fall of some army sites and vowed to defend Khartoum, Darfur and the rest of the country until the last soldier and said, “Our goal is one we want to clean this country we are not frightened of the fell and occupied areas till we all fall” and added, “hopefully Khartoum is cleared and Darfur is cleared and Sudan is all cleared .”
Al-Burhan accused some politicians and political parties of mercenarism and standing by the Rapid Support Forces, saying, “Some politicians and political parties have accepted labor and are dependent on the outside, allied with the rebellion to implement the agenda of countries that have an interest in dismantling Sudan and displacing its people.”
Al-Burhan stressed that the armed forces will not allow the dismantling and collapse of Sudan, will not succumb to any external pressures and will not compromise the country’s sovereignty.
On the other hand, the second commander of the Rapid Support, Abdul Rahim Dagalo, appeared in a video announcing their control of the 21st Zalingei Division in Central Darfur state.
Dagalo called on the army chief to surrender and said the army had dropped weapons and ammunition of about 20 boxes with an Antonov plane to his camp in Zalingei and that his forces had dealt with them.
The Rapid Support said on Tuesday it had tightened its grip on the Sudanese army’s military garrison in Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur state, the second city in the region to fall, less than a week after the fall of Nyala, the region’s largest city. To confirm its news, the RSF published videos on platform X, recorded late Monday night, in which the force commander appeared to confirm the capture of the 21st Infantry Division with all its military equipment, while the RSF media distributed a press release announcing the capture of the division commander, a major general, 50 senior officers and hundreds of soldiers.
