The Baath Party rejects the decision to form UN Right Committee, while Umma Party renews its support for investigating all violations

The Arab Socialist Baath Party rejected the UN decision to form a commission to investigate human rights violations in the current conflict, justifying its refusal by saying that it “could place the country under international trusteeship.”
The Deputy Secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party the leadership of Sudan Baath Party, Osman Idris Abu Ras, to adhere to and trust in the independent national will to restore the path of civil democratic transformation in Sudan.
He said in a statement on the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Oslo Accords, according to the newspaper (Al-Youm Al-Tali), “We will not mortgage our future on a resolution that could come out of the United Nations, and we do not accept the status of our country after its independence under international colonial trusteeship.”
Abu Ras called for speeding up the construction of the broad popular front that mobilizes and explodes the energies of the masses and tightens its siege on the warlords to stop it and demanded that those responsible for igniting the war and its scourge be brought to national justice, so that everyone who committed a crime will receive his punishment.

Umma Party renews its support

On the other hand, the National Umma Party said that its position on the violations that occurred in Sudan was clear from the beginning, calling for the need to form an independent investigation committee to investigate all violations that occurred in Sudan to clarify the facts and bring all those responsible to a fair trial to redress the victims and achieve justice.
“Therefore, the decision to form the committee is consistent with our demand, and therefore the party welcomes the decision, demands the formation of a committee characterized by impartiality and credibility, and appeals to all Sudanese parties to cooperate with the committee to accomplish its mission.
The National Umma Party stressed that it will provide everything that would help the committee to accomplish its mission in a way that ensures justice and that there is no impunity.
He said that knowing the facts is an imperative necessity, especially knowing who started the war in the country, and this is the first prelude to rebuilding the nation on the basis of justice and equality.
