Sudanese Foreign Ministry: Mercenaries from Niger within the “Hemedti” militias

Khartoum – Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali al-Sadiq told his Nigerien counterpart, Bakari Singari, that his country has information about “the participation of mercenaries from Niger within the rebel Rapid Support Militias, in acts of looting and theft” at a time when battles continued between the two sides of the conflict in Khartoum and other cities.
The two sides met on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly on Monday evening and “discussed the internal situation in both countries and their various repercussions in light of the overlap and communication that already exists between the peoples of the two brotherly countries,” according to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA).
The Sudanese minister gave “a detailed explanation of the attack on the Sudanese state by the Rapid Support Militia, passing through the systematic violations against civilians.”
Al-Sadiq stressed “the need for coordination between the two governments during the coming period to prevent the registration of stolen cars and the recovery of all stolen goods.”

While Sangari stressed that “his country is ready to coordinate with the Sudanese government to recover any cars or stolen items brought into Niger.”
