Foreign Ministry condemns RSF rebel militia’s violation of international norms

Khartoum-(SUNA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned, in a statement Monday the terrorist approach of the rebel Rapid Support militia and its attack on the diplomatic missions and its violation of international norms.

A statement about the rebel militia’s attack on a number of diplomatic missions

In continuation of its terrorist approach, violation of the armistice, and violation of international laws and norms, the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia, Sunday, May 14, 2023, attacked and forcibly entered the headquarters of the following diplomatic missions: 1) Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. 2) Embassy of the Republic of South Sudan. 3) Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia  4) Embassy of the Republic of Uganda

5) Military Attache of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  6) The Military Attaché of the State of Kuwait, where the rebel forces tampered with documents, damaged furniture, and stole valuables, including computers and diplomatic cars, without observing international law and the norms concerned with the sanctity and protection of the headquarters and property of diplomatic missions. 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns this criminal and barbaric behavior of the RSF militia  rebellious, and calls on the international community to condemn it in the strongest terms and consider it as a terrorist organization and hold it legal and moral responsibility before the mechanisms of the national and international justice.  Issued in Khartoum, Monday, May 15, 2023.
