Supreme Court Dismisses Applicationl to Halt appointments at Foreign Ministry

Khartoum, – (SUNA) – The Supreme Court judge concerned with ruling in administrative appeals, Omer Abu-Bakr, has issued a decision to continue implementing Supreme Court Decision (49/2021) on the appointment of 37 of those selected for medium-scale cadre positions in the ranks of advisor and first secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Advocate Abu-Bakr Mohamed Ahmed said that the Judge Omer Abu- Bakr has dismissed the application for stopping the Supreme Court’s judge decision’s which was submitted by the group, which was not included in the selection list, through their advocate, Al-Tigani Hassan.

He stated that the reasons for the decision stated that the application to suspend the implementation was not based on any objective reasons, stressing that the Supreme Court’s decision (49/2021) to cancel the Prime Minister’s decision. 612 of 2021, and to approve the appointment of those chosen for these jobs by the Recruitment Commission is a final decision that must be implemented.

It is to be noted that the Cabinet Affairs Minister, who is in charge of the duties of the Prime Minister, Osman Hussein Osman, has directed the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Saddiq, to expedite the implementation of the Supreme Court ruling. (49/2021 AD) on the appointment of the cadres chosen by the Recruitment Commission, after it became a final ruling and fulfilled all the stages of litigation.
