Jibril Ibrahim attacks final agreement, accuses participants of succumbing to foreign pressure

In the first clarification of his position on the launch of the final agreement between the Sudanese parties without his group, despite all the attempts made by the United Nations tripartite mechanism to dissuade them from not participating, Jibril Ibrahim, the current finance minister and leader of the Justice and Equality Movement, attacked Special Representative of the Secretary-General to Sudan and Head of UNITAMS, Mr. Volker Perthes Remarks to the Security Council.

Jibril said in a post on Twitter:

“Have I or Brother Minawi ever asked the head of UNITAMS to guarantee us a position in his government, which he wants to form despite the rejection by the vast majority of the Sudanese people? We are free revolutionaries for those who do not know us and are never honored to be part of a government made by foreigners and imposed on the Sudanese people.”

Jibril was forced to lock the option of comments and replies by readers and participants on the site, where he faces a large majority condemning his role in the coup and his economic policies in addition to his previous political background.
