The representative of the Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Major General Al-Khair Idris, said that the issue of Abyei is a central national issue for the Sudanese.
Speaking at the workshop “Towards a Solution, Peace and Development in Abyei”, which was held by the Abyei Supervisory Department in cooperation with the Paris Center on Saturday, he stressed the need for a strategy to deal with the issue based on planning in order to restore the right through the evidence witnessed and existing maps.
Al-Khair called for leading negotiations with the South Sudanese side and reaching a vision.
