Ambassadors of the Troika condemn the attack on the headquarters of the Bar Association

The Troika countries issued a statement saying that “the Troika Ambassadors (Norway, the United Kingdom and the United States) condemn the attack on the headquarters of the Sudanese Bar Association in Khartoum and call on the government to create conditions conducive to an inclusive political dialogue. The use of violence to settle legal or political differences is unacceptable and in this case appears to have been aimed at disrupting efforts to promote an inclusive dialogue to help reach agreement on a new civilian-led Government. The Troika stands against those who refuse to accept the Sudanese people’s demands for freedom, peace and justice and who thwart progress towards a political agreement and a civilian-led government. Any attack on freedom of expression and assembly is unacceptable”.
